Refusal and horrible customer service

Big O Tires - Refusal and horrible customer service
Big O Tires - Refusal and horrible customer service - Image 2

So me and my husband went to Big O Tires to change the brakes and the coolant of our car, after we spent 1800 dollars for the service,,, it turns out t

THEY DID NOT PROPERLY DO THEIR JOB!!! Unbelievable!

While me and my husband and I were out on a grocery shopping drive, the car was uneasily hot, physically way too hot than it should be. Turns out they didn't change the coolant AT ALL WHEN IT WAS IN THE BILL THAT THEY DID IT AND THEY DARE TO CHARGE US FOR IT!!! Just so you know, if the coolant is empty, it could cause a serious hazard in your car as shown for the VERY real-life experience me and my husband experienced. Apparently my husband felt it was way too hot and opened the car bonnet and the coolant was empty!!!

It could've seriously damaged the car and us! When I called them back saying that they didn't change anything and when I went to see them in person, they claimed that they did in fact replace it and that I was in the wrong and stated "oh it wasnt empty but we'll refill it for free. They didn't admit their mistake or apologize. When I went back there again to confront them, turns out I was BLACKLISTED from their location, the worker said I was not welcome and told me to "get out", publicly humiliating me making me seem like I was a crazy customer that was in the wrong, so I was very unsatisfied, absolutely enraged.

I will never come to this Big O Tires for service ever again. Worst service I have ever received.

Do not recommend. -100/10

Lies..

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had an 8 AM appointment. At 9, I questioned the manager as to why my truck was still sitting in the lot.

He then told one of his employees to move my truck to an empty bay so I could not complain about it still being in the lot. He said it right in front of my face. At 9:24, they brought my truck in for service that was scheduled for 8 AM. I was lied to, I was disrespected, and I feel put off.

Four or five customers have pulled in, got repairs done, and left.

My truck still sits there waiting for someone to start the job. It's almost 10 AM and no one is even working on my truck that was scheduled for 8 AM.

Do not trust them at all! Not for one second!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

They replaced a part and charged us for it without our authorization. They tried to get us to replace several other parts that did not need to be replaced.

They replaced a switch valve between the tanks incorrectly and zip tied the fuel lines back on. Zip tied!

They broke the fuel lines and the truck did not make it 1.5 miles before it broke down again. And all their poor work had to be redone and fixed by another mechanic.

8AM appointment set a week ahead, I got there at 7:50, dropped the key, at 9AM I asked why my truck was still sitting where I parked it ? The manager then told a guy to move my truck to the back bay and get to it later, at 924 they started at 11 they finished.

They could have got done before they started if they started on time !!! Never again

Resolved: Bait and Switch on tires

Big O Tires - Bait and Switch on tires
Updated by user Jul 08, 2024

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.

Updated by user Jul 08, 2024

I got the right tires from Big Brand Tires.

Original review Jul 08, 2024

I bought four tires for my car and printed the appointment confirmation. Big O installed different tires, inferior to the ones I actually bought, and they confirmed their error.

Then they said they would order the right tires and charge an extra $100 for shipping, and refused to refund the $50 deposit they charged me for the wrong tires. I spoke to the manager and got my $50 back, had them remove the wrong tires, and said I would buy tires somewhere else in the future.

Poor work,Dishonest front desk

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Ordered 4 Tires from Big O two days before dropping my car off.(All wheel drive BMW) When I was told my vehicle was ready for pick up I noticed the two rear tires were two different sizes.(Certain disaster for the rear differential). After pointing this out to the front desk employee(Owners son) NO accountability or responsibility was taken, actually tried to intimidate me into keeping the wrong tires.

I had a lawn mower tire replaced

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I took my lawn mower tire in for repair, I was informed they could not repair it so a new one was ordered.

I was told it would be done in 1.5 hours, I went back 2 hours later and was informed the tire did not make it to the store it would be tomorrow. I took the tire back the next day and was told it would take 1 hour, two hours later I get a call from Big O telling me they could not get the tire to seal to the rim and that they had to put a tube inside the tire also the cost was double that was originally quoted!

(this rim is 1 year old with no damage.

Big o tried to appease me by taking the tub off of the bill but I was still charged $15 more than originally quoted.

Enjoy your money Big O it is the last you will ever get from me! and I will spread the word to never go to Big O.

No Rating for this

I stopped into a local Big O Tire store to inquire about a line of credit for new tires for my BMW. Before proceeding on any installation I told them that i was only inquiring today since and will only get tires if i get a line of credit and i was in no rush for the install until I had the credit line.

She took me through their online qualifying process name/SS#/address etc. The computer screen popped up saying i was approved for $1K. Upon seeing this, The sales lady then said they had time to install the new tires in 1.5 hours today, and helped me pick out tires with-in the $1k credit limit. So they installed the tires.

4 hours later, (not 1.5) I was told my new tires were on and that i could take my car home..When I arrived, they told me they couldn't find my account or the credit line and asked me to continue to keep filling out multiple lines of credit and the computer couldn't find my account.

So then they turned to me expecting me to pay for this (out of pocket). This is Bait and switch and gross neglect of my consumer rights. Irresponsible employees. And incompetent computer systems.

Further they destroyed my original tires (they were gone) Before starting i told them to save my tires and "bag them" for me.

Nope!

Yes, I talked to the manager several times over many days on the phone and in person. This whole thing took me days to try and resolve, costing me time with my own clients, to no avail. All the manager said in the end, was "Sorry, I know the girl who helped you, saw you were approved for $1k"

During the many times they were asking me to input my information the girl called a local furniture store in front of me, when asked why she was calling a furniture company she indicated, this is who their line of credit is through. I later told the manager about this as well.

All he had to say was, "we don't run our credit through a furniture company, I don't know why she would do that??"

I agreed!!

I could tell that my SS# had been compromised, the situation was clearly not in reliable or trustworthy hands, And that I was being taken advantage of.

So I left. After many days of rehashing this, I had to contact my attorney.

Tire Financing

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Their tire financing branch of Comenity is an absolute joke. Called to talk to service department about interest charged on my account immediately after bill was received showing a small balance left after zero % period ended.

They refused to make any adjustments despite me calling immediately to rectify the balance discrepancy. I have never been late on a payment and the interest was more than the remaining balance after my last payment.

Refused to offer any help and just kept citing the terms and conditions and stated they have a three day grace period but that expired 5 days before they even mailed me the notice. Paid the balance and closed the account and will be buying tires elsewhere from now on.

This place is a DUMP! They had ZERO customers, and I only came in for a standard oil change.

*** on the phone was too busy to help me, probably making a nail appointment, and said they couldn't take my money. Because they close in one hour. WHAT??? Can't take one customer, can't do ONE oil change in an hour???

Sorry, but even Walmart got you, big O. Get your *** together!

LOUD OBNOXIOUS COMMERCIALS!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I watch Fox News regularly. And they play BIG O TIRES commercials THREE, sometimes, FOUR times in a row - the one with loud base music.

I tried to let Fox News know, but no response.

Ironically, I was looking for tires to buy, but I will NOT with them due to the annoying, harsh music! I sound like an old man, but my wife and I are young; but we are tired of constantly muting or changing the channel when their commercials come on.

Stay OUT from under my hood!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Went in for tires and an alignment. Not sure what they messed with under the hood, saw someone with a ratchet and socket tampering.

Bent the secondary latch and then tried to force the hood shut.

I will never return, unprofessional conduct is not acceptable. If you want to do an "inspection ", ask if the customer wants it.

Thank goodness it wasn't my Diesel pickup, i may have hurt someone for screwing around where they DO NOT belong!!!
