Feb 18, 2021 I went to the Big O tire store located at 1801 W. Foxwood Drive in Raymore, Missouri.

The time was approximately 1:00. There was a female employee working the counter. I advised I needed to purchase some tires and gave her the tire size. She printed off a quote and proceeded to show me a "like" tire on the showroom floor.

The size was 275x60R20. No indication whether this was a P Metric (passenger) tire or a LT (light truck) tire. I asked the clerk what the ply rating was on the tire and she advised she would need to ask her manager. She went in the shop area and spoke with someone (I could see her through the glass) then came back and advised me "it's a standard 8 ply tire".

I told her there is no such thing and she became defensive and argumentative. She said "sir, I've been doing this for two years and I know what I'm doing. Besides, that's what my manager said it was". She proceeded by saying "if it was a 10 ply tire it would say load range E".

I then proceeded to inform her that if it was an 8 ply tire it would say load range D and if it were a 6 ply tire it should say load range C. There is no indication of this tire being an 8 ply tire. She got very defensive at that point in time and said "just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing. You can just talk to my manager if you want".

I told her that is exactly who I wanted to talk to. She went back into the shop area and was gone for nearly 5 minutes before coming back to the front lobby and advising me that her manager was on his lunch break and didn't have time to talk to me. She then said "and the tire you are asking about is a 4 ply tire, my manager just looked it up". I said "so it's not a standard 8 ply as your manager said in the beginning"?

I then said "I no longer need to speak with your manager, I need to speak with your district manager". She said "fine but I'm not giving you his name or phone number". She then left me standing in the lobby and marched herself back into the shop area.

There are a lot of training opportunities in this store it appears. The manager isn't giving his employees proper training nor is he giving them correct information nor is he supporting them when there is someone asking to speak with him.

Big O said catalytic converter was bad kept putting wrong ones in, in several months it damaged the engine of the vehicle.

I brought my truck in for a fuel leak. They assess the situation to be a bad fuel pump. It took them 2 days to replace a fuel pump which is usually a 4-hour job. After 2 days and $1,100 I got my truck back. A week later I was filling up my tank with gas when I noticed all the gas was spilling onto the ground underneath my truck. After taking a closer look I realized they did not connect the fill hose back to the fuel tank. Big O Tire in Springfield did over $1,200 in damage to my car according to the Big O Tire in Kansas City. Called office in Springfield and will not except responsibility. Will be taking them to small claims court but that a pain in the butt.

My daughter had taken it in to Big O on an engine light issue Big O ended up saying it was the cat converter so they removed it put in several other one that were wrong also changed the O2 sensors still there was an engine light emission system failure. Big O kept resetting the computer in the vehicle. Worked for a few days or so and engine light kept coming on. Damage was done Big O does not want to fix what they brokeAngnyy

my Honda Accord was brought to Big o in east Mesa AZ on 7/17/2021.I needed motor mounts and seals. I was charged $2,800 and my car vibrates now, did not before. Al in the front told me maybe it needed a tune up. he would not put in writing for the reason it was vibrating.I took it to Firestone, aftermarket parts are to blame and 2 seperated tires in the front , they missed!! Terrible!

User's recommendation: Run Run And Keep Running away . Check your receipt. How do you purchase a tire hazard plan . And that be considered Labor cost ? How do you explain $21.99 mounting and balance charge for the same tire . You are now getting replaced but this time it's 69.50 . Speak up show them your org receipt. They're counting on u not having it .

Bad customer service

I brought my truck in for an oil change, new spare and tire rotation. They charged me for 21 quarts of oil, and my truck takes 12.

When I went to pick up my truck, I noticed the tires had not been rotated. I ask the guy at the counter what happened he offered to get it back in. then one of the other guys said they don't do tire rotations on dually, this is new to me because they had done it in the past for me for the last 2 years. The guy at the counter also charged me for the tire disposal fee, but threw the tire in the bed of my truck.

I said either remove the fee or take the tire, all I got was "It's out of my hands and nothing I can do". This place has gone to crap in the last couple of months.

Not happy with Quality of work and parts I want to spend money for something that’s not wrong

I took my vehicle to big o for a fuel leak And to. Fix tail lights and revived a bougous bill and fuel tank is leaking almost 5months later.I didnt receive my vehicle on the time promised once my vehicle was received the fuel gauge stopped working . The fuel gauge was working fine before I brought it to the shop. Approximately three hours later I was told that I needed a new fuel sending unit and got a lecture on how my vehicle is a 30-year-old and parts wear out . Then to be told it would be 600$!
