I sent my son in to the local big o tire store to get new tires for his truck on my account with RC Willey. Because their computer showed an unpaid balance with RC Willey, they asked me to call the their corporate office and resolve the issue.

I was told in no uncertain terms that I would have to travel the 56 mile trip to the local Big O store and show them a bank statement that the balance was paid, even though the corporate office acknowledged that their screen did in fact show it as being paid. By this time my son had been waiting for almost 2 hours for his truck to be returned to him so he could leave the store. RC Willey told me it was against their company policy to call the store directly and straighten it out. I finally called Big O back and asked them to put the old tires back on and I would take my business elsewhere.

The owner of the store slammed my son's brand new cell phone on the counter, then threw it at him, telling him I was a "*** ***." He then called the sheriff's department, trying to get them to impound the vehicle, telling the deputy that I had threatened his staff. He was then upset because they wouldn't do what he wanted, so he called my son's employer at the local NAPA store and told him he would no longer do business with him my son remained in his employ. He then told my son's boss that I had come into his place of business and threatened his receptionist with bodily harm, whom I had never even spoken to.

I have not been in his store since November, when I bought 2G's worth of tires for my own vehicles, nor would I even recognize his receptionist if I saw her. It seems that each time he tells his story, it gets even more grandiose than the time before.

I call BS. You sound psychotic especially in your follow up comment

I dont believe it. You appear to be the irrational one threatening violence.

You appear to be the problem in this scenario. Especially sending your son in trying to use your *** credit.

I blv that could happen...we are getting our tires in Jackson, plus if I have a problem like yours I call the BBB. Sorry things whnt that way.

We NEVER had a problem with Big O...just the other comps... :upset

I wouldnt assume that every big o is like that. Plus there are two sides to every story. Managers are expected to give away items if there is an unsatifactory experience just a nation of free loaders.

Just an update: Mr Macdonald still refuses to acknowledge any wrongdoing, so I made it clear that if I see him in public my intention is to let him know what happens when you screw with me and my family being a psychotic ***...he won't show his face

This event is absolutely unabridged. I am beside myself how anyone can be this irrational and be functional enough to be a franchise participant in this country. These are the freedoms I fought to protect in Desert Storm!

I'm with you, to many businesses forgot what customer service is, and when they make a mistake they won't admit it, or they think you should be thankful for doing business with them. There are to many other stores out there for ones like this to survive.
